How do I apply for housing?
New Students should visit 住房 表格及文件 and turn in a 住房 Contract, 健康史表格, 免疫接种记录, 100元房屋按金, and 室友问卷.
Should I purchase personal property insurance?
是的. Residents are advised that 布雷西亚大学’s insurance carrier does not cover the loss of personal property suffered by residents. 出于这个原因, all residents are advised to carry a private insurance policy for their personal property. Students are encouraged to check for coverage under their parents’ homeowners policy or by purchasing College Student Renter’s Insurance through National Student Services, INC.
Am I required to purchase a meal plan?
是的. All residents must have a full meal plan, which includes 19 meals per week in O’Bryan’s 餐厅 Hall (breakfast, lunch and dinner during the week as well as brunch and dinner on the weekends). Each resident also receives a $100 credit to use in Barney’s Café each semester. This meal plan is included in the room and board costs when you sign up for housing.
How do I request a roommate?
You can request a specific roommate by completing our online 室友问卷. Please note that both parties must request each other in order to accommodate the request.
How do I request a single room?
You can request a single room by completing our online 室友问卷. Please note that single rooms are filled on a first come, first served basis.
When will I receive my room assignment?
Typically, room assignments are sent to 学生 via Brescia Email in mid-July.
Where do I receive my mail?
You will be assigned an on-campus mailbox found either in Merici大厅 or Bartholomy-Taylor Hall. Any packages will be delivered to the Campus Mailroom and the mailroom clerk will contact you via email so that you can pick up and sign for your package. All mail should be made out as follows:

Visiting hours are from 11:00 AM – Midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 AM – 2:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. For security purposes, all visitors are required to check in through the Merici front desk. Overnight guests must be approved in advance by the Office of 居住生活.

On-campus residents and visitors to residence facilities are expected to respect the right of others to have an environment free from excessive noise and disruptive behavior. 学生宿舍 may establish their own quiet hours, beginning no later than 11:00 PM and continuing until at least 9:00 AM. All 学生 are advised that those times outside of quiet hours do not constitute free license in regard to noise.
When do 学生宿舍 close?
Residence halls close for Fall Break, 感恩节, 圣诞节, 复活节, and Spring Breaks (check the academic calendar for specific dates). During these times, 学生 are expected to leave the campus. 必须, 出于适当的原因, remain on campus over break periods are to make arrangements with the Director of 居住生活 by completing a 打破住房要求.
How do I report a maintenance/housekeeping issue?
The quickest way to get a maintenance or housekeeping issue resolved is to file an online 维护请求.
May I remove the furniture from my room?
No, 学生 may not remove furniture from their rooms or apartments, as we do not have storage available for these items. Furniture which is not in place at the end of a resident’s stay will be billed to their housing deposit with any excess costs being billed to their student account.

What if I do not get along with my roommate?
By filling out the 室友问卷, you will have provided the Office of 居住生活 with the necessary information to make a reasonable housing match. We ask that all roommates give each other a chance. For this purpose, room assignments are frozen for the first 2 weeks of each semester. If you are experiencing problems during those first 2 weeks a 居住生活 staff member will sit down and complete a roommate agreement to try to rectify the situation. If things are still not working after an agreement has been forged, a student may contact the Director of 居住生活 for permission to move.
我要带窗帘吗??
Blinds are provided for all windows on campus; however, some 学生 decide they would like to make their room feel more inviting by putting up curtains. Tension Rods work best for hanging curtains in the halls, as 学生 should not be drilling holes. The windows in Merici大厅 measure 71″ wide and 49″ long. Saffer大厅 windows measure 47″ wide and 52″ long.
Some Students also like to put curtains up over the closets in Merici. These closet openings are 41″wide and 74″ long.
Can I bring a refrigerator?
Refrigerators are allowed in the residence halls. Students should keep the size of these refrigerators below or as near to 4.5 cubic feet as possible. Manufacturers change the sizing yearly and currently units as large as 4.8 cubic feet will be accepted.
Are microwaves available in the 学生宿舍?
是的, there are microwaves available in the kitchenettes and lobbies throughout the halls. Students are not permitted to have a personal microwave in their room.
